A wonderful painting by John McNairn from 1936, until now having resided in the McNairn family for its entire life.
John spent time in the early 1930s living and working in Paris and the wider France, influenced by many artists and in this case, you can arguably feel a Cezanne influence through the palette and composition/formation of buildings and trees. The painting was produced by John in 1936 on his return to his native Scotland
